Self-Care
Self-care is essential to health and well-being. As a Health and Wellness coach, “I have to live it to give it.” Therefore, I have developed a comprehensive lifestyle medicine program for myself. Coaching myself helped me to identify which tools work for me and which lifestyle behaviors are barriers to my success. This program has given me a toolbox in which to implement new tools, such as risk assessment tools, educational and goal setting tools, program adherence tools, and tools to enhance communication and track progress, in which to successfully coach myself and my clients. Moreover, my lifestyle medicine program includes a healthy eating plan, exercise plan, spiritual health plan through prayer and meditation, and a plan to prevent chronic disease and illness.
